The apparent demise of Issues Etc

Sliceoflaodicea.com has an article about the Lutheran Church of Missouri Synod (LCMS), and the sudden death of their Issues Etc radio program. The LCMS authorities are not talking about it.

I became acquainted with the show only recently. I appreciated Todd Wilken’s firm stance on biblical matters. My first thought is that Todd offended someone who the LCMS wants to placate at any cost. Word has it that the Emergent church has been paving inroads to the LCMS. Todd was not Emergent friendly.

    This has all the marks of an emerging movement within the LCMS. I listened to the President of the synod on KFUO, and he used a lot of CGM buzzwords, emergent talk, and sounded a lot like Rick Warren and Tony Jones.

    It reminds me of what jesus asked, Will I find faith when I return?
